I would love to go into more detail, but I really didn’t follow the story very well, as so much is being thrown at the viewer and so little of it makes absolutely any sense. Luck would have it, Jack has already fallen in love with a human woman, but things don’t go as he expects and life on Earth is harder than he realizes. ![]() Thanks to Father Winter he gets to, but has some conditions: he must find a home, a job, and a wife before winter is over. Jack Frost (voiced by Mad Men‘s Robert Morse) is a winter spirit that wants to experience human life. There is nothing particularly offensive about Jack Frost, it is just a convoluted story that makes very little sense, has absolutely no charm, and meanders boringly for nearly an hour. ![]() Inexplicably narrated by a groundhog, this Christmas special by Rankin & Bass proves that even they were capable of the occasional stinker! It’s such a shame, because I was on a roll of really loving everything they had been in charge of, but this one really didn’t work for me. Directors: Jules Bass & Arthur Rankin Jr.
